The Fresca Top is an elegant top that will bring a fresh breeze to your summer outfit. It is entirely worked in Open-check stitch. The back yoke is knit first with increases from the shoulders down. The front stitches are picked up separately along each shoulder, then joined after the front neck slope shaping. The back and front are joined at the underarms to be knit in the round to the hem and the I-cord bind off finishes off the hem. To finish, stitches are picked up around the neck and armholes openings and the I-cord bind off is also worked for the neck and armholes edges. This design was inspired by Cardiff Cashmere’s “Silka 8” yarn.
