Lotus Moon
Please note: This pattern, Lotus Moon, contains only the instructions for making a 12 inch afghan block.

This 12” afghan block is rich in texture, character, and possibility. Endless color combinations can be used to create different floral effects. The gentle cupping of the petals adds subtle dimension and interest. The framing of the flower gives a tile-like effect that will look marvelous repeated or mixed with other afghan blocks.
Lotus Moon is rated conservatively at an intermediate level, but it quite easier to make than you would expect. Lots of pictures are included in the standard version of the pattern, and help is never more than a Ravelry message away.
Three files are included with your purchase: the standard pattern which includes lots of helpful photos; a printer-friendly, text-mostly version that has only one photo to be easy on your printer’s ink; and a color placement planning sheet.
Sample was crocheted with Vanna’s Choice yarn and an I/5.5mm hook. Designer has moderate tension. Those with tight tension can expect a slightly smaller square, or can go up a hook size to a 6mm. One testers with tight tension used a 6mm hook and got a square of 11.5 inches. Those with looser tension should go down to a 5mm hook or smaller as needed. Please check your gauge: after second round your circle should be 2.5” across or slightly over 2.5” across.
