Like most of my hat patterns, this calls for worsted weight yarn. If you’re not familiar with worsted weight, look for medium weight or if there is a number gauge to go by, choose a number 4. This hat took just over a single skein of yarn so if you are making a man sized hat, be sure to have two skeins of the same yarn in the same dye lot. Or, you could do one color for the folded brim and one for the main section of the hat. The choice is yours!
