Medallions and more shawl
The shape is a long rectangle, knitted with two yarns/colors.
Knit this big rectangle and play around with styling it. It truly gives you many options to wear. You’ll love the feel of it too, as when you wear it, it seems like you are getting a gentle hug.

Try a fancy rib stitch, simple stockinette and a pretty cable pattern in this project.

The shawl unblocked measures a generous 79” in length and 12” in middle height.
The pattern is fully written, a cast on video link, a schematic and also offers a chart for for the cable section.

Yarn used
C1- Bambon, a DK weight bamboo/cotton blend, 154 yards a skein. 3 skeins used.
C2- Element, a DK weight cotton/linen blend, 220 yards with 2/3 un-plied strands in as many colors. 1 skein used.

Notions needed
US size 8 (5 mm) circular needle 40” (101 cm) in length.
Scrap yarn or interchangeable cable to place section on hold.
Darning needle or crochet hook for finishing.
Cable needle.

Gauge:
C1: 6 sts and 10 rows in 2” stockinette stitch.
C2: 6 sts and 11 rows in 2” stockinette stitch.

Techniques to indulge in
Knitting and purling flat, slipping stitches, color changes, cable knitting, knitting through back loop, picking up stitches and knitting in another direction, binding off, weaving in ends and blocking.
