Pattern Gauge: 10 sts = 3” 7.5 cm and 14 rows = 3” 7.5 cm in St st on larger-size circular needle.

You’ll be reaching for this vest again and again as your “go to” layering piece! Its mid-thigh length is both dramatic and slimming.

A beautiful, wide, interweaving cable design is the center motif on the back. The same cable design is cut in half and echoed on the fronts, which mirror each other. Wide ribbed front bands, knit-in pockets, and shaped shawl collar add to the sophistication.

A unique tie-front closure is the perfect finish for this easy-to-wear piece.

It’s knit from the bottom up in one-piece. The only seaming is at the shoulders, at the back neck to join the two halves of the collar, and the pocket linings.

The Knit Picks Swish Bulky yarn used in this sample is dark heather blue - elegant for dressy occasions and so wearable for casual outings. It’s soft and lightweight to keep this layer comfortable.

NOTE: Suggested and purely optional mod to doing the C5F Cable Twist:
If you prefer to keep the middle purl st in its exact place, you can do this instead for the C5F:
“Sl next 2 sts to cn and hold in FRONT, sl next 1 st to 2nd cn and hold in back. K2, p1 from 2nd cn, k2 from 1st cn”.
