2nd and Shunk is a big, bold wrap worked in a variety of textures. Started at the tip, its shape develops by using strategically placed increases and decreases.

The sample shown is worked in two neutrals with a brilliant pop of color for the lace sections. The shape and texture of the shawl make a perfect canvas for color play.

The finished measurements, after blocking, are a wingspan of 86” and a center depth of 29”.

You will need:

  • 494 yards of fingering weight yarn in Color A
  • 115 yards of fingering weight yarn in Color B
  • 350 yards of fingering weight yarn in Color C

The sample shown is worked in Highland Fingering by Cloudborn Fibers in Charcoal Heather (Color A) and Grey Heather (Color C), and Highland Superwash Sock Twist by Cloudborn Fibers in Pool Blue (Color B).

  • US size 5 (3.75mm) 32” circular needle
  • Locking stitch marker
  • Yarn needle

You need to know how to knit and purl, knit 2 together, and yarn over.
