Algerian Hood
This pattern is
available for free.
The pattern was published in the October 1865 issue and can be found on pages 284-285 of Peterson’s 1865 Annual.
This pattern is an historic pattern and as such very limited information is given. It calls for shetland wool 2 oz of one color and 1 oz of a second. This should be a very light fingering or laceweight. And knitting needles equivalent to a 7 or 8 US. The pattern describes it as “so light and soft that it will not injure the most delicate flowers or curls” so it’s meant to be light and airy.
