All Wrapped Up
This wrap was inspired by my aunt, who was ill and as a result always felt a chill, even during the summer. I wanted to make her a wrap that she could throw over her shoulders, but that also made her feel like she was being hugged and know that it was made with love.
I couldn’t find a pattern that worked for the yarn I wanted and have it be just the right size, so this wrap was born. The All Wrapped Up pattern is designed to be completely customisable for your needs. It works with any uneven (odd) number of stitches and has a set of rows that are repeated until you reach your desired length.
If you are looking to make a wrap for yourself or someone to feel that they are All Wrapped Up, this wrap is the ideal pattern for you.
It uses US terminology and is worked in rows.
Skill level - Easy-ish
Material list:
➢ I used DK yarn for my wrap. The recommended hook size for
the yarn is 3.5-4mm. However, to create a more draped
effect, I increased my hook size to a 5mm.
➢ 4mm, 5mm and 5.5mm hook or hooks compatible with yarn
used.
➢ Needle for sewing in ends and needle join.
➢ Stitch markers.
In the prelude (beginning pages) of the pattern you will find yarn quantities and many many more bits of useful info!
You are more than welcome to work the wrap in any yarn of your choice. However, depending on the yarn and tension, you may have a size difference.
The pattern does not have detailed photo tutorials.
