Amigurumi Easter Chicks, Eggs, and Shells
These chicks and eggs make great favors and decorations.
Chicks and eggs are 3 1/4” high X 2” wide, just about the right size to fit into an egg carton.
The chicks can be taken out of their shells, or the shells can be attached to them.
The instructions are friendly and finish-as-you-go
Safe for children 3 and over, although they can be made safe for all ages.
When made according to the instructions, these toys are machine washable.
SUPPLIES
• Yarn is heavy worsted weight, Red Heart Super Saver in Bright Yellow for the chick, and White for the shells, 7 oz./198 g., 364 yd./333 m. Less than 5/8 oz., or 18 g, needed.
• Contrasting yarn for beak is scrap of orange sock yarn. Embroidery floss may also be used
• Polyester fiberfill stuffing
• 4 small river rocks, available at most craft stores, or found rocks, for each chick
• 6 mm solid black eyes (Joanne’s and other craft stores carry them—they look like a black plastic nail with a white washer)
