Aranya in Sanskrit means forest or the wilderness. This scarf was made when someone requested a simple and textured accessory that should keep away the cold and yet look stylish. Also, she said she would love a minimal pop of colour somewhere. I then tried out a stitch which seemed attractive and the yellow flowers found their way into this squishy forest scarf.
The scarf can be made using any fingering or sport weight yarn. The scarf gets its texture from the ribbing and the mesh formed by simple stem stitches.
