Sometimes called the rabbit-eared bandicoot because of its gigantic ears, the bilby has a long snout and grey silky fur. It is rare and endangered, and now confined to isolated pockets of desert in Central Australia and the north of Western Australia, where it shelters in disused rabbit warrens. Its main predators arecats, foxes and birds of prey.

Materials:

  • Half 50g mid-grey 8ply
  • Half 50g white 8ply
  • Scraps of pink, black 8ply yarn
  • Nylon thread for whiskers.
