When Covid arrived like many I lost my Cro-mo, not until lately could i pick up a hook and enjoy my craft.
I sat for 3 days and worked to make this Kite Style Shawl. Just playing around and wondering if I could do a FADE style/shape shawl using crochet mosiac technique WITHOUT endless ends to sew in… and YES..it was possible.
Plus on the back of the work is a flat striped design.
When making the shawl, you will have both yarns attached but only using one at a time every 2 rows.

I added a border for those that want to make sure their edges are neat, but its not always necessary.
I also played yarn chicken and had about 5 inches left of one of the colours - in the shawl picture I used Comanche and Blackfoot

I was also restricted to getting the yarn I wanted and as I didn’t have a variegated in 4ply this was the next best thing and I’m happy with the result

Yarn Suggestions – Used in the proto-type Stylecraft Dream Catcher – 2 shades = 870 metres.
A 4ply works best, but a thin DK is ok, anything thicker makes the shawl very weighty.
Long variegation of colours helps with the colour management
4.5mm hook
