Bulla is a textured scarf with an unusual pattern. This is a very engaging knit. The motif is completely reversible, the “wrong” side is made up of fascinating waves.
I created Bulla in collaboration with Céline from La Fabrique Poveda. Céline lives in Dijon, France and she sources all her yarns locally, she even chooses the fleeces that she will send to the spinning mill. She dyes her yarns naturally in a joyful range of colors. Céline prepared kits for you here.

1 strand of fingering weight yarn (dima) and 1 strand of lace weight yarn (mohair) are held together throughout the pattern.
La Fabrique Poveda Mohair (80% mohair - 20% silk) - 180 m / 25 g skein
2 skeins or 350 m (385 yards) of lace weight yarn
La Fabrique Poveda Dima (70% Ile de France, 30 % Mérinos d’Arles) 410 yards (375 meters) / 100 g skein
1 skein or 350 m (385 yards) of fingering weight yarn
Both Colorway : Praline

Needles: 5 mm / US 8.
Gauge: 20 sts x 22 rows / 10 cm (4”). The gaude is not crucial for this project but it will affect the final dimensions. You can make the scarf longer or shorter than the sample by changing the number of main repeats.

L’écharpe BULLA est entièrement texturée et totalement réversible ! C’est un tricot rapide et engageant, on ne s’ennuie jamais. Vous pouvez ajuster la longueur de l’écharpe en modifiant le nombre de répétitions dans la seconde partie.
Il est tricoté dans les magnifiques fils de La Fabrique Poveda, sourcés et teints par Céline qui a préparé de jolis kits ici.

Pour ce projet sont tricotés ensemble un fil de fil type fingering ou chaussette (dima) et un fil de type dentelle (mohair).
