With the graceful shape of a butterfly … and the glints of color often seen on the lovely namesakes … this shawlette is as much fun to knit as it is to wear.

Knit from the top down, ending with an elegant lace edge that self-scallops, this shawlette uses approx 350 yards of sport-weight yarn (sample done with ONline Supersocke- 6 fach in “Cottage”), knits up quickly and has directions both charted and written out.

The shawlette starts with a garter tab, allowing for a neck edge that hugs the neck (6”) and 18” wings … for a total of 42” top edge; the hem edge is approx 84”
