Christmas gift-knitting can be really stressful with too long a list and too short time. This is your go-to pattern!

Here I have designed 4 different cables … all using the same yarn and needles … but two are knitted flat and two are knitted in the round. The finished sizes are all different too … but ALL highlight fun cables to keep your knitting-interest and use less than 200 yards of worsted weight yarn.

Cat’s Cowl - sample shown in Pomegranate - is worked flat and then seamed, using a 2-over-4 cable with a garter self-finished edge..

Diana’s Cowl - sample shown in Cream - is worked in the round and combines a classic cable with 2x2 ribbing.

Teri’s cowl - sample shown in Spruce - is worked falt and then seams, highlights a lattice cable panel set off by self-finishing garter edges.

Tess’s cowl - sample shown in Cream - is worked in the round and incorporates garter diamonds surrounded by a cable that twists and turns, creating a tone-on-tone argyle-like pattern.

Directions are both charted and written for this versatile design.
