This cabled cowl will keep you warm on a cool spring or fall evening, and looks great while doing so. It’s an “easy wear”, and a lot of fun to knit. It features 2 different cable stitches, as well as a simple turtleneck, and has a 14 - 17 inch “drop.” (That way it covers not just your neck and shoulders, but upper arms as well.) It is knit in the round using sport weight yarn, and size a #5 (U.S.) circular needle. There are instructions contained within the pattern for both Small-Medium, and Large-Extra Large.

The stitches are both written out and charted.

Skill Level: Intermediate (assuming a good working knowledge of both knitting, purling, and cable knitting.)

The yarn used in the sample is Lorna’s Shepherd Sport yarn, in colorway, Fjord.

The wrap was expertly pattern tested by Jen Kelley who can be contacted at: thehulkstoy@ gmail.com, who is known on Ravelry as “the hulkstoy.”
