Charity’s Wrap is knitted in garter and stockinette stitch with an applied chunky lace trim. Choose two yarns that work well together for this quick to knit project. It can be knitted as a narrow scarf or a wide shawl – or anything in between. You will find this to be a quick knit great for gifts and charity work!

Suggested yarn weight: bulky or worsted, in two colors.
The warm orange sample shown used 125 yards of the main color and 50 yards of the trim color. The smaller pink and blue sample used the same amount of yarn, but in worsted weight.

I hope you will enjoy knitting this pattern, the second in a series designed around the Harry Potter Series of books and movies. Each will be knitted with a special staff member of Hogwarts School of Wizardry and Witchcraft in mind. The first pattern, Septima’s Asymmetrical Shawlette, is available here.

Charity Burbage had an excellent understanding of the time constraints that muggles face. I think that the Muggle Studies Professor would approve of the practicality of this pattern, and also the speed and ease of this design. After all, most of us don’t have the Self-Knitting Needles found in Spindlewarps Wool Shop!
