Who says the Christmas Tree Skirt should be the only knitted project on your tree? Last year I started making some Christmas Tree ornament “sweaters” based on someone else’s pattern. I told myself that this year, when I had more time, I would make patterns of my own. If you followed along, last year’s patterns were top down and featured a turtleneck like top. This pattern snuggly fits around an ornament and is a simple yet sweet addition to your tree.

The pattern features double pointed needles. Starting with just four stitches can be a bit of a challenge if this is your first time using DPNs but I have confidence that you’ll do just fine. I’ve tried to start you off with just one needle for the cast on and first round of the pattern, switching to DPNs when you have a bit of a sturdier start.
