Climbing Vine Bag Saver
Keep your plastic shopping bags handy, organized, and ready for re-use with this boho style bag saver. This crocheted keeper features beautiful columns of lace vines, a hanging loop, cute tassel and an over-sized button closure at the top. Load your plastic shopping bags into the top of the bag saver, and dispense from the bottom (a slightly smaller opening at the bottom of the saver keeps the bags in place until they are needed). Made from a 100% recycled yarn, this project will do its part in helping to reduce waste.
This pattern was part of the “Eco Yarn-School” live event on Craftsy. The pattern is free when signing up for the Craftsy Newsletter. A replay of the live event can be watched on the Craftsy Website or here on YouTube.

Yarn Used for Bag Saver Shown
Ecocitex I’m Not Wool classic yarn (worsted weight, 60% Recycled clothing, 40% recycled polyester; 218 yards 200m/ 3.5 oz 100 grams: 1 skein in the color Coral was used with only 3 yds leftover (see note below)
This yarn is made from discarded used textile waste so exact fiber content of this yarn is unknown, and there are no dye lots. This yarn can be purchased on Amazon in a 2-pack: https://a.co/d/dDKzhcK or a 4-pack: https://a.co/d/icgrrCP
Note: I only had about 3 yds leftover (from one skein) after making this project. Buy 2 skeins for extra insurance, OR be willing to make the bag saver a bit shorter, or use a different yarn for the tassel.
