The Ilex Color Block Mittens & Cowl combine a clever diagonal detail with bulky weight fiber to make a sophisticated and sumptuous pair that are quick to work.

The design is achieved using intarsia in the round in a way that is friendly to intermediate knitters who might be new to intarsia. The mitten is knit in the round, cuff to fingertip, and the cowl is knit in the round, cuff to cuff. Both work beautifully with highly contrasting colors as well as chromatic shifts.
