Cat Bordhi, the “mad scientist” of knitting, is back with more intensely innovative patterns. This sock is named after the Coriolis force, the swirling phenomenon present in weather patterns. This pattern is mimicked in this unique garment that boasts a garter-stitch toe and a complete absence of gussets.

Cat Bordhi demonstrates how to cast on and knit a square toe in garter stitch; then she picks up stitches around the toe and begins to knit up the sock.

Limited instructions are available from Knitty Gritty, episode DKNG-701. This pattern has only 1 size with specific yarns and a garter stitch toe-up design.
