Choose the order of colors you want to progress in as you knit the mitts from the bottom up. The mitts look best with four or five different colors.

The use of a little slip stitch when you change colors in the body of the mitt gives it that extra crazy quilt feature you see when sewers use a blanket stitch on the quilt pieces. The ruffle at the wrist adds extra pizzazz.

The two mitts are knit the same way and are interchangeable.
