PART OF A THREE-DESIGN BOOKLET BUT ALSO AVAILABLE AS A SINGLE PATTERN
Here’s a loose and drapey top to flatter all body types and with multiple back options.
Knit in a mix of seed, garter and drop stitches, I used primarily hand-dyed yarns including ribbons and an embarrassing amount of silk. You may choose to knit yours from something else entirely such as cotton or even linen. The key is to keep it light and flowing.
Multiple options exist for the back including triangular, straight or cropped.
NEEDLES
Any needle-size will work here so choose your preferred size as long as it doesn’t it doesn’t exceed 10 US or 6mm, to avoid moving the piece into the bulky realm. When using a mixture of yarns, it’s amazing how the overall fabric will reach some middle ground. Straight needles are fine, though you may prefer circulars.
This design requires approximately 800 yards of mixed yarn.
Check photos at the bottom for the other three designs included with this one in the Into The Garden Guide and for more information, please check my website at Janethornley.com.
