Dolls' Striped Sets
This is a “his ‘n’ hers” pattern with a cardigan and hat in the girl’s size and a pullover and hat in the boy’s size.
Yarn: 1/3 ounce main color, a few yards each of two contrast colors for the girl’s or boy’s set
Additional materials: 4 snaps and 7 seed beads for the girl’s sweater
The bodies of both sweaters are worked in pieces and seamed. The sleeves are picked up. The girl’s cardigan closes with snaps and has seed beads used as simulated buttons.
The boy’s hat is seamed all the way down the back. The girl’s hat is seamed part way and has ties fastened to the front.
Sized for a Barbie-type or Ken-type doll with the 1960s figure: Girl: 5.5”/3.125”/5”, Boy: 6.25”/4.5”/5.125” . The fit may vary on modern dolls.
