This is a great cardigan for any young child. It was one of our most popular patterns at The Yarn Co and I made one for each of my kids when they were born and have made this sweater countless times as a baby gift. Picking the colors is half the fun - very easy to tailor it to a boy or a girl or an “i don’t know!” If you have trouble increasing in pattern on the sleeves, just increase in garter stitch - it looks fine that way too.
