If you love lace….

I knitted my Effren shrug with a blend of cotton and bamboo yarn in a DK weight called Bamboo +. The knit kits come with an introductory savings at Yarnz2go.

UPDATE available: A second option for the lace repeats to line up instead of being staggered a bit as in the sample shown:
Repeat rows 1 to 34: 1 more time for a total of 2 times worked with the staggered lace as shown in the sample shown, OR work rows 1 to 34 once, then repeat rows 11-34 and rows 11 and 12 if you like things to line up straight.

The shrug is showing off a gorgeous lace pattern, so it has a touch of dazzle, doesn’t it?
The front piece is wider to create a bit of a dropped neckline, the back goes straight from wrist to wrist. The pattern gives you another option as well with a straight neckline.

Garter stitch edges are seamed at the top of the shoulders, sleeves, around the neckline and again around the bottom border.

The pattern is fully written and also offers a lace chart and schematic.
The slightly blocked shrug measures 23” around the sleeves and 51” in overall length from wrist to wrist.
