How’s that? A yarn crawl? Yep - even if you can’t travel, or shops aren’t able to open yet, we’re on: the Slow Crawl is virtual again this year, too! That actually means you can join in from anywhere!
Get a passport from this shop or other participating shops (they’re $10)

Star stitch is always a favorite, fun to make and gives a lovely texture that keeps out the fall and winter drafts. It is a one-sided stitch but the back side also has a nice look and texture. I found this particular version of a stitch in a vintage crochet book that I inherited from my great grandmother and modified it slightly. I always think of her while crocheting as she is the one who patiently taught me when I was very young. You will make a rectangle that is 22” x 5”, although size is not incredibly important depending upon the size you wish to make.
Difficulty Level: Advanced Beginner– need basic crochet skills

Yarn: Distracted by Yarn Fingering , Color Sub-Alpine Meadow , 387 yds for 100g Skein, 80% Superwash Merino 20% Nylon, Hand dyed Eco-friendly , Approximate yardage used 260 yds
Hook: US size F (3.5MM) and size D (3.00MM) – or size to get gauge
Gauge: 5.5 st & 4.3 rows per 1”
Other: tapestry needle to weave in ends and sew up cowl
