This is a very lengthy wrap around crescent shaped Shawl. The size makes it easy to wear in many different ways. It works well using one of those hand painted yarns that we all seem to have in our stash and a complimentary solid that matches. It starts at the top with an eyelet
border, incorporates the German Short Row Technique, a beautiful lace flower pattern and finishes with a fun lace border that is added as you bind off.
Materials:
Solid Color: 425 yards fingering weight yarn, model used Opal Sock yarn (100 grams, 463yds), I had 18 grams left, about 80 yards.
Painted Color: 350 yards hand painted fingering weight yarn, model used Hedgehog Fibres (100 grams, 437yds), I had 26 grams left, about 114 yards
Size 6 (4.0m) – 32” circular needles
Markers optional
Finished Size: 80” across top x 21” from top to bottom at center
Notes: To make a smaller size, decrease cast on by multiple of 8 stitches.
