A simple toque dressed up with an applied cable band that acts as a turned up cuff. The cable colorwork is stranded, and the end is grafted to the beginning, leaving a small, invisible seam on the inside. Because of this, the cable runs uninterrupted around the hat.

Stitches and techniques: k2tog, p2tog, 3-needle bind-off, provisional cast-on, backwards loop or “e”cast-on, grafting, familiarity with cabling and stranded colorwork.

• 90g/180yds worsted weight wool in main color (MC; black)
• 35g/70yds worsted weight wool in a contrast color (CC; ruby)
