For Yiayia's Boy
A commonly used Greek term for Grandmother, pronounced ya-ya.
A dear friend of mine welcomed her very first Grandbaby this year and of course we had to have a special blankie for a special little boy…….and so, Yiayia’s Boy was born. The centre design is very much inspired by Moroccon tiles which just tickle my fancy cos they are sooooo awesome.
I’ve kept the stitchwork nice and masculine so this blanket is perfectly suited to that special man or little boy in your life. Worked in the right colours, it would be just as fabulous for a more girly blanket. The pattern is worked as a repeat blanket, making it super easy to size to whatever your little heart desires or that special human in your life needs.
For Yiayia’s Boy is written to make a 125cm x 125cm blanket (including the border) but the pattern is totally adaptable to suit any yarn type and create any blanket size.
It uses US terminology and is worked in rounds.
