This double lace shawl, knit in lace weight yarn features two lace stitches. (One is actually an old Aran stitch that when aggressively blocked, becomes a lace stitch.) That Aran stitch forms the border stitch. The Focal Stitch is one of the more famous of the Shetland laces. Together they make a lovely shawl.

Skill Level: Intermediate (assuming a good knowledge of lace knitting).

The pattern for the stitches are both charted and written out line by line.

There are also instructions for an optional crocheted border, should you want it edged. This is the ONLY crochet in the pattern.

This pattern was expertly tested by Teddi Sherrill who can be reached at: tms808@gmail.com and was knit using Handmaiden’s Merino Camel Lace yarn in colorway,Radiant Orchid and requires approximately 1200 - 1500 yards to make the shawl as shown.

The pattern is for sale right here on Ravelry or in my Etsy Shop in the Int - Advanced Shawl Section (https://www.etsy.com/shop/WearableArtEmporium?section_id=…)
