Frost glitters like shattered glass strewn in the sun, crowning barren trees and bushes with fresh glory under a wintery sunrise. This soft shawl, reminiscent of that sparkling view, flows with rich hue and texture, promising an elegance much like those sweet, frost-soaked mornings.

PATTERN NOTES
This shawl is worked sideways from point to long edge, increasing gradually on one side.
The pattern was originally written for the 2018 Advent Calendar mini-skein kit and utilizes every bit of yarn from 20 mini-skeins of 25 yards each. We’ve left the original colour names, as signifiers to indicate changes, in the pattern, as well as indicated Colours for the Five-Colour Party of Five option. The shawl is completely personalizable, however, and you may opt to change colours wherever you desire, if at all.
The Checker Pattern and Lace Pattern instructions are both written (see Stitches Used) and charted (pages 3 and 4) for your preference.
