Pattern Description from Interweave Knits, Summer 2009:
Mari Lynn Patrick combines vintage inspiration from across the last century in the Great Gatsby Dress: a Victorian lace border here, a 1920s lingerie silhouette there. Careful gores and borders separating panels and elements provide dressmaker definition. A simple picot bind-off and two different directional laces trim neckline and hem.

Finished Size: 32 (34, 36½, 38½, 40½, 43)“ bust circumference. Dress shown measures 32”, modeled with 1” negative ease.

Yarn: Rowan Silk Wool DK (50% wool, 50% silk; 109 yd [100 m]/50 g): #302 porcelain, 10 (11, 12, 12, 13, 14) balls. Yarn distributed by Westminster Fibers.

Needles: Size 5 (3.75 mm): straight and 16” circular (cir). Size 6 (4 mm): straight and 24” cir. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions: Markers (m); stitch holder; tapestry needle.

Additional Gauge: 20 sts and 24 rows = 4” in ladder rib st on larger needles.
