Greed
I regularly find myself exiting my local yarn store with a really nice skein of yarn that I didn’t really know what to do with, but simply had to have! Either because the stripes were so fun or the colours so vibrant. This pattern was designed to use those sock yarns that I bought in a case of yarn greed! A simple slip stitch texture gives the sock some interest without overshadowing the beautiful yarn. Knit from the top down with a heel flap and gusset construction.
Pattern is available in size small (56 stitches), medium (64 stitches) and large (72 stitches).
Gauge is 9 stitches per inch and 12 rows per inch in stockinette.
Sample was knit using Handdyed by MJ sokkenwol (420 meters (460 yards) per 100 grams, 75% wool/25% nylon). Sample is a size medium and has a 9 inch (23 cm) foot length. Sample used 63 grams and 264 meters (289 yards) of yarn.
Materials:
• 325 meters (355 yards) fingering weight yarn.
• 2.5 mm (US 1.5) double pointed or circular needles.
• Tapestry needle.
Pattern can be worked from written or charted instructions.
