Indulgent Pear
Indulgent Pear is an asymmetrical triangle shawl worked bottom up featuring decreases towards a central spine (chevron) and some easy lace to keep things interesting.
The central spine stitch is used as an orientation point during the whole pattern. It can easily be identified, please see the picture below to know what to look out for. You could use a stitch marker, but I discourage this as this marker would have to be moved around every right side row which I find annoying - but it’s totally up to you.
Finished Size
75 x 35 in (190 x 90 cm) after blocking. Size is adjustable.
This knitting pattern is suitable for beginning lace knitters and easy enough to make it the perfect TV knitting project. The sample shown used additional repeats of the stockinette and lace sections I (see below for details). The finished size listed above is true if you are not working any additional repeats. If you do, prepare to get a really huge shawl!
Using solid or semi-solid yarn colors show the stitch pattern best.
This pattern is part of the Plant Anatomy project.
