This is a pattern for a light weight wrap. It’s heavier than a shawl, but just the ideal weight for a spring or fall evening, or even if you’re sensitive to air conditioning in the summer. The wrap is comprised of a single, fairly intricate, lace stitch, that is the center of attention. If you want to enhance your lace knitting skills, this would be a good pattern to use, as it’s knitted on sport weight yarn, allowing you to see the stitch as you knit it. There are also instructions for an optional crocheted edging contained within the pattern, should you want it edged.

The stitch is both charted and written out line by line.

Skill Level: Intermediate (assuming a basic knowledge of lace knitting)

The yarn used in the sample is Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Sport in the colorway, Avondale

The wrap was expertly pattern tested by Jen Kelley who can be contacted at: thehulkstoy@ gmail.com, and is known of Ravelry as thehulkstoy.
