Jazz Piano
At a recent jazz performance, the musician, Bed Sidran, talked about having moments when ordinary things suddenly reveal new perspective and possibility. I’ve always designed gradient shawls to be circular or symmetrical, so the color was always evenly distributed. That night, I decided to go sideways and design a shawl with the color traveling from end to end.
To shake things up even more, the lace only borders one side of this triangle shawl. It knits up relatively quickly, with just one skein of special fingering-weight yarn. I had fun looking at shawls a new way and hope you like this composition!
This pattern is currently exclusive to the Knitcircus Gradient Yarn Club. It will be available for purchase in March 2015.
