Kitty Placemat
Do you ever get tired of your cat spilling food all over your clean floor? This place mat for your cat couldn’t be more fun to make. It is knit in the round, so you don’t have to purl with two colors. After you finish knitting, you cut the tube open and felt it. Crochet edging adds the perfect finishing touch.
This is a placemat for your kitty’s food dish, knit in the stranded colorwork technique. Two halves are knit in the round, steeked and felted. It requires two 50-gram skeins each of dark blue and aqua-colored worsted wool and one 50-gram skein of gold/orange for the gold fish.
Non-stick backing is sewn on after felting.
