KUFIC SOCKS
Designed for the 2022 Ramadan Wool Club

With all of the tragedies happening around the world, it’s imperative that we remember to hold onto hope and peace, and to love our fellow brothers and sisters we share this earth with.
Inspired by the oldest calligraphic Arabic script called Kufic, the Kufic socks feature three Arabic words written in Square Kufic calligraphy.

Written from Right – Left, the design reads as:

Love/Hub - حب
Hope/Amal - امل
Peace/Salam – سلام

MC: White - 28g
C1: Purple – 7g
C2: Green – 5g
C3: Pink - 15g
C4: Orange – 2g
C5: Yellow - 2g
C6: Lavender – 4g

Needles:
US1 & US2 circular needles or DPNs
US2 – Cuff & Leg / Colorwork
US1 – Foot / Heel & Toe

Gauge:
28 stitches x 40 rows - Over colorwork using US2 needles.
30 stitches x 48 rows - Over stockinette foot using US1 needles.
