If you’ve been wanting to try your hand at lace, but couldn’t decide which one to try, this sampler may be just what you’re looking for. There are 4 separate lace stitches (one of which is a cable-lace) contained with a single, and quite beautiful scarf. No time to get bored with any one stitch, as you’re on to the next one very quickly. One of the stitches is charted and written out line by line. (The remaining are just written out.)

Skill Level: Intermediate - Intermediate + (assuming a working knowledge of knitting, purling, cabling and yarn over’s).

The scarf is knitted in heavy fingering weight yarn (is there such a thing?) on size #4 needles, and is symmetrical
The sample shown here was expertly pattern tested by Sandra Amerine, who can be reached at: amerine.sandra@yahoo.com and who is known on Ravelry as(“the”) CraftHag.
