This is a pattern for a lacy lightweight shawl, that mirrors the old Shetland Shawls. It is bordered on all sides by faggotting. It was knit with Handmaiden’s Casbah yarn so it looks and feels wonderful. Casbah is a heavy fingering yarn, and this shawl requires 3 skeins of yarn.
There are two options for knitting this shawl: One using a kitchener stitch, and one without.
The stitches are charted ONLY and the pattern is suitable for intermediate knitters with some lace experience.
The shawl was expertly test knitted by Julie Anderson, who can be reached at: kuli.anderson@ charter.net and was knitted with Handmaiden’s Casbah yarn in colorway Chocolate

This pattern is available here on Ravelry and in my Etsy shop in the Intermediate to Advanced Shawl pattern section:
