The first fruit hat pattern was this, the Cherry. It’s done in a similar manner as the head for the Little Greenies doll, with modifications for their cute little faces to show through.

Yarn:
DK weight recycled acrylic yarn in Cherry Red & Dark Green
(or any DK weight yarn that has some elasticity to it.)

Needles:
US 3 (3.25): Set of 5 double-pointed (dpn)

Notions:
Black embroidery thread
Embroidery needle
Tapestry needle
6 markers (m)

Gauge:
7 sts, 8.5 rows = 1” (3 cm) in St st

Fits any Little Greenies doll made with same gauge.
