Little Lacey Mitts
I adore knitting and crocheting. I believe both crafts are unique in their own way, and play well together often. This is one of those times. These mitts were created as I was envisioning something that would be pretty and lacy, yet still keep your hands nice and warm using very little yarn. Simple and fun to work up, these mitts make lovely and affordable gifts.
These mitts are worked with a knitted cuff and a crocheted lace top. I have included a wristwarmer version (no thumbhole) and a longer, fingerless mitt version with a thumbhole. Either version can be made with just under 110 yards of worsted weight yarn. The shorter mitts require approx. 38 grams/82 yards, and the longer version requires approx. 46 grams/102 yards. If you want to keep your gauge swatches and/or make the mitt a little longer, you might to purchase an extra ball for “insurance”.
