Lumberjack
Fall is my favorite season. Being able to wear sweaters and scarves, pumpkins and leaves everywhere and best of all: we can start using the fireplace again! Lumberjack is my interpretation of fall in the form of a sock. They’ll keep your feet nice and warm when you have to leave your cozy house to get more wood for the fire or when you’re out and about. The socks are knit top down and use 3 colors. Only 2 colors are used at a time however. The vertical contrasting lines (red in the sample) are added after you’ve finished knitting the sock.
Pattern is available in one size (72 stitches). Size of sock can be adjusted by changing the gauge (knit tighter for a smaller sock, looser for a bigger sock) or changing yarn weight.
Gauge is 9 stitches per inch and 9 rows per inch in pattern on 2.75 (US 2) needles.
Sample was knit using Regia 4-fädig (420 meters (460 yards)/ 100 grams) in 02080 (white) as MC, Regia 4-fädig (420 meters (460 yards)/100 grams) in 00324 (navy) as CC1 and Rico Superba Klassik 4-fädig in 103 (red) as CC2. Sample used 34 grams of MC (143 meters (156 yards)), 35 grams of CC1 (147 meters (161 yards)) and 40 grams of CC2 (168 meters (184 yards)). Sample has a 9 inch (23 cm) foot.
