Misty Copeland
Why Misty? Because she was the first African-American to be made principal dancer at the American Ballet Theatre in New York City, one of the greatest companies in the world. Despite her humble beginnings and having started ballet training at a late age, it was easy to see Misty had potential and she was able to thrive and bloom in such a competitive world.
