The Moon and Stars Cowl in two lengths is embellished with beads, Roosimine Inlay and Vikkel braids, shaped for ease of wearing. The cowl begins with a provisional cast-on that later becomes a beautiful I-cord finish.

Yarn

San Juan Woolworks Spyhop (Finn & BFL Cross Lambswool, 240 yds/100 g), 1 (2) skeins, or similar DK weight yarn, 240 (450) yds MC, approx 30 (55) yds CC 1 and approx 15 yds CC2. CC yarns may also be doubled fingering weight yarn or a fingering weight yarn held together with a lace-weight mohair yarn.

Short cowl sample used Natural dark/silver marl Spyhop for MC yarn and Meeker Street Flower Shop and Wagging Tails Pet Boutique held together for CC yarns, in the Mountain Lake (CC1) and Foggy Forest (CC2) colorways.

Long cowl sample used Driftwood Heather Spyhop for MC and Freia Ombre for CC (colors from the inside (CC1) and outside (CC2) of ball) in the grapevine colorway.

Beads

Size 6 Japanese seed beads, 60 (132).

Short sample used Toho 6-PF565, permafinish galvanized blue slate.
