Piet on Point is available in knitCompanion.
Piet on Point was inspired by the work of Dutch painter Piet Mondrian. By rotating his work so it sat on point, it fit well with a triangular shawl shape. Piet on Point is worked modularly, in three panels, which are joined with a three-needle purl bind off. Broad borders frame the interior just like a picture frame on a painting. The shawl is worked in garter stitch making it squishy and cosy!
Yardage information is given by color and by individual shape. This allows you to easily reconfigure the number of colors and their placement so you can create your own work of art.

Yardage Note: The shawl pictured was knit with one skein of border color using exactly 390 yards of a 420 yard skein. The materials list reflects a 10% buffer added to all yardage amounts and so it appears you would need a second skein to have 429 yards. If you knit Piet on Point exactly to gauge, you should be able to do it with one skein of tosh merino light. Test knitters were able to do it with 390-410 yards, but that is cutting it close. For peace of mind, you may prefer to have the full 429 yards.
