It is hard to look at this hat and not have perky and happy thoughts. The buttonhole eyes can be made bigger by stretching the opening. All that is missing from this pig hat is a curly tail; you could easily make one by casting on 12in 930cm) of stitches onto the larger needle and casting off the stitches firmly with a smaller needle. The shading on this hat has been achieved by using the yarn like pigment and working with two strands of yarn together.

1 ball of dark pink
Short lengths of tapestry wool or scraps of yarn; white; brown.
