What is a Pudgie? It’s a plush puppy or kitten that’s shaped like a ball. These plush balls have a ruffly coat that makes them so soft to touch. In fact, they are irresistably soft and you just want to cuddle them.

I wanted to design a toy that reminded me of a new born puppy or kitten. You know how they are just cute little balls of fur? This is what I came up with and I call them “Pudgies”.

SKILL LEVEL: INTERMEDIATE

This pattern does require knowledge of chain, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, triple crochet, decreases and how to make an adjustable magic ring.

You will need worsted weight yarn (approx 120 yards), polyester fiberfill stuffing, craft eyes, and a size “G” crochet hook.
