I whipped up a few of these one day when I was on a crocheting kick for the Charity bin at my Local Yarn Store, and I enjoyed making them so much I thought I would share the pattern with anyone else who needs a quick, simple, and easy crocheted beanie pattern. Like I said, these make great charity hats because the work up quickly, and are great for stash-busting!

To make larger or smaller sizes, I recommend changing the hook size. In the above picture, 3 of the hats are crocheted to pattern with the size J-10 (6mm) hook and the Vanna’s Choice yarn. The fourth hat I crocheted in one color of Paton’s Classic Wool. It came out smaller than the other 3, more child sized. I used the same basic pattern but with a size I-9 (5.5mm) hook.
